Google just announced a deal with Renault, Nissan, and Mitsubishi indicating that it will be the built-in operating system of choice for all their cars’ navigation and entertainment systems starting in 2021. That’s right Android-haters, if you don’t want to get sucked into the Google ecosystem, you better start looking at Toyota cars.
With this news, we can guarantee you one thing: if you buy a Renault, Nissan, or Mitsubishi after 2021, good luck figuring out which iteration of Android its running. Ice Cream? Vanilla Mocha chino? Cucumber Salad? Who knows?
