Imagine being an employee at Starbucks being tasked to take out the bathroom garbage and suddenly you feel a sharp poke. Your greatest fear comes to reality as you realize you’ve been stabbed by a used needle someone threw in the trash.
Look no further folks, you may not have to worry about this problem anymore. Sources say that Starbucks is exploring installing needle-disposal boxes in bathrooms to provide a safe way of throwing out syringes and other drug paraphernalia.
This movement was precipitated by a petition signed by more than 3,000 people on Coworker.org. This, in addition to the company’s policy change in May to allow anyone to sit in their restaurants or use their bathrooms regardless of whether they make a purchase will make Starbucks the greatest places to hang out (and do drugs, if that is your wish). What are you waiting for? Grab your Venti-sized Starbucks tumbler and head over to the nearest Starbucks for a good time!
