Smollett’s accomplices regret their role

In recent news, “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett was charged with lying to the police about being the victim of a racist and homophobic attack by two masked men.

Smollett and his defense team believe that all evidence presented against Smollett in this case are “demonstrably false.” Prosecutors allege that the actor enlisted the help of two other black men to stage a hate crime because he was “unhappy with his salary and wanted to promote his career.”

The real story here is that affirmative action is starting to make it more and more difficult to manufacture (allegedly) fake crimes. Can you imagine the outrage by putting an ad in the paper asking for only white people to beat you up? Despite being an equal opportunity employer and hiring 2 very qualified actors (who don’t happen to be white), Smollett was fully committed and stuck to the script describing his attackers to police as “two white men in ski masks.”

After the performance, an attorney for the two brothers say the men “regret their involvement” and that they “have come to realize how much the incident has negatively affected minorities and particularly victims of actual hate crimes.”
