Cow sympathizers triggered, sue Ben & Jerry’s

Ben & Jerry’s and its parent company are being sued for false advertising because they claim that the milk and cream in its products comes from “happy cows.” The complaint was filed by environmental advocate James Ehlers who is accusing the ice cream maker of deceiving customers.

Cows participating in the creation of Ben and Jerry’s products actually work in factory-style, mass production diary operations. There hasn’t been a study on whether or not these cows are happy, but perhaps the lawsuit will open the dairy animals’ eyes to form a union and avoid unsatisfactory work conditions in the future.
