Kindergartner with Down Syndrome pulls gun at school

A teacher feared for her life when a 6 year-old with Down Syndrome pulled a gun on her at Valley Forge Elementary School. The investigation indicated that young Margot Gaines pointed at her teacher, her fingers simulating a gun, and told the teacher, “I shoot you.”

The school district policy required administrators to call the police to make threat assessment. After a grandiose investigation, authorities determined that the child “didn’t mean harm.” The school was accused of overreacting to the child’s playful gesture, but they stated that they were strictly following district protocol.

Sources familiar with Margot’s thinking state that she does not regret her actions and would, next time, pistol whip the teacher with her imaginary pistol for being overly dramatic.
