Dating app date ends in heist

A woman in Massachusetts took a chance swiping right on a man who would eventually steal her heart. The woman, who shall remain nameless, met Christopher Castillo via an online dating app.

The date started when she picked up Castillo from his parents’ home which should have been the first red flag. Castillo proceeded to drink wine in the passenger seat which is 1) also illegal and 2) the second red flag.

Upon approaching a bank, Mr. Castillo told his date to pull over. He got out of the car, disappeared for a couple minutes, and suddenly came running back with sunglasses, a hat, a gun and $1,000 in cash. He got in the car and ordered her to make a getaway to which she allegedly responded, “Okie dokie, hold on to your potatoes.”

During the getaway, the woman spotted flashing sirens in the distance so she pulled over and walked away from the car. The police eventually arrested Mr. Castillo who was sentenced to five years of incarceration. Luckily for the woman, she got off without a charge; this will probably be the last time she puts, “Down for an adventure!” in her dating profile.
